ANGER MANAGEMENT
The type of anger that is accompanied by rage or hostility has plagued the Body of Christ for generations. The first expression and outward demonstration of that level of anger is found in the Book of Genesis 4:5; which says "but unto Cain and to his offering He had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance (facial expression), became distorted. The term "wroth" implies an extreme hatred type of anger. Hostile anger begins to brood when the seeds of hurt, disappointment, fear and frustration are consistently "watered" by thought or meditation of the original incident or violation. What causes anger to escalate to a level of hostility or rage is our lack of understanding of what anger is and what it is for. For the most part, the hostile type of anger that most commonly demonstrated is a reaction from our primal nature and in many cases, a learned behavior. Anger is an emotion and when we as believers take the time to understand it we are in a better position to control it.
